People actually paid good money to go and watch this?

No interest, bring on Saturday!

How did Rice do yesterday overall?

Erring on the side of packing the midfield for Saturday, just not sure Arnie can be trusted to put a shift in.

I'd have the following, with Antonio making the runs behind the backs as Lanzini did last year:

Joe
Fonte Reid Oggy
Zab Obiang Noble Kouate Cresswell
Antonio
Pea

I'd play Rice alongside Obiang... very good again last night. He is going to be some player.

Ohhh for Carvalho!!

Hopefully we will renew interest in January as we sorely need a player like him and he seemingly still wants to come.

Noble was better than Kouyate last night, and one of them has to start alongside Obiang. I wish we had better options too, but we don't.

100% Ludo

Let's hope Skaven sticks to his guns and leaves him on the bench for Saturday.
If he plays the yid midfield will run rings round him.

I assumed Nobles 'knee injury' was just a face saving way of dropping him.

No coincidence that our form picked up when he was out.

Was okay yesterday but too slow for PL now.

I cannot honestly believe any of you would think or want Mark Noble back in the starting eleven. He is yesterdays man and should just remain a squad player, even then only bring him on if we are 3-0 up and want to slow the game down and give the ball away time and time again

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Bolton - The Official Match Thread FT 3-0 Att: 35,806
Ponderous display in the midfield and lack of movement up front was completely evident.

Positives:
Rice had an excellent game, the senior pro leading the Bolton line pushed onto Rice but Rice pretty much had him in the back pocket all game.
Holland injected some much needed pace when came on.
Oggy solid.

Negatives
Game should have been completely out of site in the first half due to wasted opportunities.
Noble far too slow to get the pass out.
Kouyate clumsy with the ball at his feet, looked like he would fall over himself.
Adrian nearly getting caught twice with the ball at his feet.
Sakho was looking for a moster display from Sakho finished well but offered little else and looked slow.

18 year old Montengro lad signed in summer from some Skandi team. Very Lanzini esk in his style of play. Low centre of gravity, likes to run with the ball and take players on. Played on the right for first 60mins last night and did well, always wanted the ball, didnt lose it and was happy to run beyond

Early days but definatley a good first outing last night

I thought the possession would have been more. Great win, and in the next round and all that, but Bolton were truly woeful.
